PENERAPAN METODE MUTHOLA’AH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA BAHASA ARAB KELAS VIII B-1 DINIYYAH PUTRI LAMPUNG

his research was motivated by the lack of female students' ability to read Arabic, resulting in unsatisfactory results in class. This was based on observations that indicated a lack of Arabic reading skills among female students. Based on this background, the researchers were interested in implementing the Muthola'ah method to improve the students' Arabic reading skills. This study employed classroom action research. The aim was to determine and describe the improvement in students' reading skills after receiving instruction using the Muthola'ah method. The subjects were 29 students in class VIII B-1 Diniyyah Putri Lampung. This research was conducted in two cycles. Based on the results of students' oral tests in cycles 1 and 2, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Muthola'ah method can improve students' reading skills because the average score obtained for all aspects taught has increased. The average score on the oral test in cycle 1 was 72.93 and increased to 75.10 in cycle 2. So the increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 2.7%, the average value of the written test in cycle 1 is 85.17 and increases to 91.37 in cycle 2. So the increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 6.2%. The conclusion of this study is that the Muthola'ah method can improve students' reading ability in Arabic subjects.
